Stingray Concept Price

Colombia the eternal recurrence of violence

Surprised by the uncritical acceptance of events leading to the death of Raul Reyes, last weekend I sent an article to several friends of the Colombian writer Héctor Abad Faciolince Week magazine published that questioned the validity of the perception that anything goes. To my surprise the majority of responses that everything is worth nodding. All were legitimate mechanisms provided root out the guerrillas.
However, it is necessary to note that violence regardless of which side has and the supreme value that attempts to justify its need, is violence, and a slaughter like the one that killed Raul Reyes is no different to the massacres perpetrated by the guerrillas or the paramilitaries. In the same vein, the mutilation of a body at the suggestion of the Colombian Army, the case of Ivan Rios, has no major difference with the mutilations carried out by paramilitary or guerrilla groups. All these are acts of violence in the name of a "better future" and the support of the "good Colombians" eliminates those who are opposed to the default "course" that the country should follow. How is it possible that the Colombian state publicly condemn the violations of the laws of war committed by the guerrillas, but justified by the very triumphant smile.
Was not the Colombian state condemning the guerrillas for practice all forms of struggle?
Is not it precisely that the Colombian State's practice today?
It is necessary to note however, that contrary to the "furor" popular, are not new measures. Colombia once and test the anything goes when attacked a group of farmers who sought to defend the partisan violence of the time in Marquetalia and Patio Chiquito and the result, contrary to the intentions of government that government was the creation of the FARC ELN and the only thing that remains clear is fervently anti-FARC Colombia has not learned the lesson. That the country refuses to learn from its history and continues to repeat in a Nietzschean eternal return that as I said Deleuze is different each time it is repeated, as the years pass, the names of victims and executioners change, but the practices remain the same. And worst of all, it will remain the same, even when Colombia learn that a single nation is built on respect and adherence to the law, otherwise the children of the leaders of today are the fighters of tomorrow and victims of the excesses of today will be guerrilla paramilitary morning. If the Colombian state is actually intended to stop the rush of blood, this is not achieved slaughtering and butchering human beings for more than Raúl Reyes and Iván Ríos they are. In fact the little that has won Colombia with the death of those members of the FARC, is scrawny with what could have been advancing in the ways of peace if they had been captured instead of slaughtered and mutilated. But worse that although Colombia has chosen a path and has chosen the FARC as responsible for all the ills that afflict it, because it is easier to blame the FARC, the ELN and the paramilitaries to bring about the changes to end the social, political and economic support these groups.

Spotting And Foul Smelling Urine

Death Raul Reyes, a few thoughts AN

After six years in power, and to apply the five point eight percent of gross domestic product to support the war, politics democratic security in Colombia has taken one of the results that he asked both the capture or terminate any of the members of the FARC leadership. Raul Reyes has been discharged but not very clear on operations of the Colombian armed forces in Ecuador. While it is true that the military is the constitutional obligation to "defend" the Colombians, it seems clear that greater efforts have been made to capture the rebel leader and his entourage. Especially if you consider that the intelligence they had, and the interception of a satellite call, gave certainty about the place and time where it would be the leader of the FARC. The other issue that is striking is how confusing the site of operations. The Colombian government participation ensures that air always done in a way that did not violate Ecuador's airspace, however striking as it does to bombed Ecuadorian territory without violating its airspace. Pretend today that the camp where he was discharged is in Colombian territory is to believe at face value the government statement without reading between the lines of inconsistencies in the official version, without understanding, that the camp was two miles inside Ecuadorian territory. This is not to underestimate what the death of Raul Reyes in the scenario involving the Colombian conflict is a military achievement relevant important political and military consequences on the height and internal armed conflict. Of what it is to put in mind that most of the blows point that the Colombian government has dealt to the FARC have been in confusing military operations in neighboring countries, which not only violate the sovereignty of these, but present serious risk to relations with neighboring countries. The armed forces are obliged to fulfill their duty, but that duty must be fulfilled within the strict rules of international humanitarian law and respect for the sovereignty of neighboring countries, not to legitimize the discourse is so much damage institutions have made to Colombia, those by which the end justifies the means, even if these means bring even worse consequences than it solves. Yet to be seen what the real consequences of the death of Raul Reyes, some analysts speak of a guerrilla troop demoralization, a mass abandonment of rows by guerillas fighters, feeling demoralized, vulnerable and unprotected. However, the opposite scenario is also possible. The escalation of military actions by the FARC to show that they are still capable of affecting the Colombian government, and strengthen their position, is an alternative that seems more in tune with the traditional behavior of the FARC.

The conflict should not and can not be won in any way, Colombian government and armed forces should not be the main violators of international law and international standards, the institutional is on your side, and the obligation to respect and enforce the law, otherwise, we return to as harmful speech whereby the end justifies the means.
